What is a doula?

There is a common phrase in doula work: “I don’t catch babies. I hold mothers.” A postpartum doula is a trained, non-medical support person who walks alongside you and your family in the weeks and months after birth.

My role is to care for you, nurture your family, and help ease the transition into this new chapter of life. Whether that means preparing a nourishing meal, helping around the home, offering a listening ear, supporting you through feeding, or simply holding space for you to rest, I am here to meet you where you are.

I believe that postpartum care should never be considered a luxury because it really does take a village - no matter what your situation is.

I hope to help bring a little of that village back.
